Privacy at STACK4ME
We use the information needed to help you find software, maintain your account and deliver updates you request.
Your account and saved work
We store your email address, verification and session records, saved products, comparisons, stacks and account preferences. Saved search requirements can contain what you wrote. Avoid entering confidential or sensitive personal information.
Search and AI
When you request AI Search, we send your software requirements and selected product evidence to our AI provider, OpenAI. We redact common contact details and credentials before sending a request, but automated redaction cannot identify every sensitive detail. Ordinary product pages read our catalog without making an AI request.
Our email service receives the address and message needed to deliver sign-in links and requested updates. Newsletter signup is separate from account creation. You can change preferences or unsubscribe using the links provided. We retain a minimal suppression record to honor an unsubscribe request.
Cookies and browser storage
We use first-party cookies for sign-in security, sessions and transferring requested saved work. Comparison selections may be kept in your browser. We do not enable advertising pixels or fingerprinting. A software vendor you visit has its own privacy practices.
Affiliate links and usage
Affiliate clicks record the product, placement, time and a click identifier. Partners may return that identifier to attribute purchases. We do not attach your account ID or raw IP address to affiliate clicks. Infrastructure providers process connection information to deliver and secure the service.
Retention and your choices
Anonymous recommendation drafts expire after 24 hours; saved account records persist until removed. Session lifetimes are limited. Backup copies may retain deleted records until rotated. You can remove saved items in your account, sign out and unsubscribe from email updates. Contact us about access, correction or deletion requests.
