STACK4ME FIELD NOTES
Look beyond the price on the pricing page
A starting price is a billing unit, not a complete budget. Before comparing plans, establish what that price includes and what changes as your team grows.
Foundation guide · September 15, 2026Identify the unit
A plan might charge per seat, workspace, transaction or usage block. Do not compare a single-seat price with a flat workspace price as if they covered the same team. Separate required paid users from guests or view-only collaborators.
Check the commitment
A price described as “per month” may require annual payment. Record the actual billing period, minimum term and cancellation conditions. Divide an annual amount only to explain a monthly equivalent; retain the annual commitment alongside it.
Find the limits
Look for caps on contacts, storage, automations, messages or projects. Identify which features require a higher tier and whether overages are charged automatically. When usage is uncertain, calculate scenarios rather than presenting one exact total.
Distinguish a free plan from a trial
A free plan and a time-limited trial solve different problems. Check which capabilities remain available when a trial ends, and whether existing data can still be exported. Unknown availability should never be treated as free.
Save the evidence
Record the vendor source, the date you checked it, the market and currency. Recheck before making a purchasing decision.
